ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 5536

AN ACT to amend 1980 PA 300, entitled An act to provide a retirement system for the public school employees of this state; to create certain funds for this retirement system; to provide for the creation of a retirement board; to prescribe the powers and duties of the retirement board; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state departments, agencies, officials, and employees; to authorize and make appropriations for the retirement system; to prescribe penalties and provide remedies; and to repeal acts and parts of acts, (MCL 38.1301 to 38.1437) by adding section 61a.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Sec. 61a. (1) The office of retirement services shall prepare 2 reports regarding retirants employed at reporting units as follows:

(a) For the period that begins on the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section and ends 1 year after the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, the number of retirants employed at reporting units during that period.

(b) For the period that begins 1 year after the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section and ends 5 years after the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, the number of retirants employed at reporting units during that period.

(2) For each report required under subsection (1), not later than 1 month after the applicable reporting period, the office of retirement services shall deliver the report to the senate majority leader, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate and house of representatives appropriations committees, and the senate and house fiscal agencies.

 

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless House Bill No. 4375 of the 101st Legislature is enacted into law.
