Pursuant to rule 1.101, in the absence of the Presiding Officers, the Senate was called to order by the Secretary of the Senate.

Senate Bill No. 48, entitled

A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled “Michigan memorial highway act,” (MCL 250.1001 to 250.2091) by adding section 110.

The House of Representatives has passed the bill, ordered that it be given immediate effect and pursuant to Joint Rule 20, inserted the full title.

The question being on concurring in the committee recommendation to give the bill immediate effect,

Further consideration of the bill was postponed for the day due to the lack of a quorum.

 

 

Senate Bill No. 616, entitled

A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled “The code of criminal procedure,” by amending sections 33 and 48 of chapter XVII (MCL 777.33 and 777.48), as amended by 2021 PA 81.

The House of Representatives has passed the bill, ordered that it be given immediate effect and pursuant to Joint Rule 20, inserted the full title.

The Senate agreed to the full title.

The bill was referred to the Secretary for enrollment printing and presentation to the Governor.

 

 

Senate Bill No. 617, entitled

A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending sections 625, 625a, 625g, and 625m (MCL 257.625, 257.625a, 257.625g, and 257.625m), as amended by 2021 PA 80.

The House of Representatives has passed the bill, ordered that it be given immediate effect and pursuant to Joint Rule 20, inserted the full title.

The Senate agreed to the full title.

The bill was referred to the Secretary for enrollment printing and presentation to the Governor.

Senate Bill No. 640, entitled

A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending section 722 (MCL 257.722), as amended by 2018 PA 274.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

A bill to amend 1984 PA 431, entitled “The management and budget act,” by amending section 237b (MCL 18.1237b), as added by 2002 PA 504.

Senate Bill No. 643, entitled

A bill to authorize the department of technology, management, and budget to transfer state-owned property in Macomb County; to prescribe conditions for the transfer; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state departments in regard to the property; and to provide for the disposition of revenue derived from the transfer.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Appropriations.

A bill to amend 1979 PA 94, entitled “The state school aid act of 1979,” by amending section 101 (MCL 388.1701), as amended by 2021 PA 48.

Senate Bill No. 645, entitled

A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled “The revised school code,” by amending sections 504, 524, 556, and 1311g (MCL 380.504, 380.524, 380.556, and 380.1311g), sections 504 and 556 as amended by 2011 PA 277, section 524 as amended by 2018 PA 619, and section 1311g as amended by 2018 PA 42.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Education and Career Readiness.
