A bill to amend 1953 PA 232, entitled

"Corrections code of 1953,"

(MCL 791.201 to 791.285) by adding section 63b.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 63b. (1) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, a county sheriff is not required to post an exit map in an area of a jail that is accessible by inmates.

(2) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the department is not required to post an exit map in an area of a correctional facility that is accessible by prisoners.

(3) As used in this section, "exit map" means a map that diagrams the exit routes of the building.
