A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled
"Michigan election law,"
(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 31b.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 31b. (1) The secretary of state shall create a
centralized registry for electors to report any errors that occur
during an election.
(2) An elector may report an error that occurs during an
election to the centralized registry either by reporting it on an
Internet website maintained by the department of state or by
reporting it to a toll-free telephone number maintained by the
department of state.
(3) The secretary of state shall maintain a record of each
report submitted by an elector under this section.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
