     A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled

 

"The social welfare act,"

 

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 111m.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 111m. (1) The state retention amount of the public entity

 

contribution collected under the public entity adjustment program

 

is equal to 13.2% of the federal funds generated by the public

 

entity adjustment program, including the state retention amount.

 

The state retention percentage shall be applied proportionately to

 

each public entity to determine the retention amount for the public

 

entity adjustment program. The state retention amount shall be

 

appropriated each fiscal year to the department of community health

 

to support medicaid expenditures for medical assistance services.

 

These funds shall offset an identical amount of general


 

fund/general purpose revenue originally appropriated for that

 

purpose.

 

     (2) As used in this section:

 

     (a) "Public entity" means a publicly affiliated entity with a

 

clinic participating in the physician adjuster program or specialty

 

network access fee program.

 

     (b) "Public entity adjustment program" means that program as

 

described in the state plan for medical assistance.
