HOUSE BILL No. 5839

     A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

 

"Public health code,"

 

by amending section 16107 (MCL 333.16107).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 16107. (1) "Permanent revocation" means the permanent

 

cancellation or withdrawal of a license, registration, or

 

authorization to engage in the practice of a health profession

 

under this article that is issued by the department, board, or task

 

force.

 

     (2) (1) "Probation" means a sanction which that permits a

 

board to evaluate over a period of time a licensee's or

 

registrant's fitness to continue to practice under a license or

 

registration.

 

     (3) (2) "Public member" means a member of the general public

 


who is not a licensee or registrant, under this article, is a

 

resident of this state, is not less than 18 years of age, and does

 

not have a material financial interest in the provision of health

 

services and has not had such an a material financial interest

 

within the 12 months before appointment.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.

 

     Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless all of the following bills of the 97th Legislature are

 

enacted into law:
