A bill to require police vehicles to be equipped with
automatic external defibrillators.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1. As used in this act, "police vehicle" means a vehicle
clearly marked as being a police vehicle and used by a police
department of a city, village, or township, a county sheriff, the
department of state police, a Michigan tribal police force, or a
public safety department of a community college, college, or
university whose officers are authorized by the governing board of
that institution to enforce state law and the ordinances of that
community college, college, or university, in the performance of
law enforcement duties.
Sec. 2. Each police vehicle shall be equipped with an
automatic external defibrillator.
