A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled
"The social welfare act,"
(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 74d.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 74d. As used in this section and sections 74a, 74b, and
74c:
(a) "Enrolled provider" means an individual who is at least 18
years of age or older, is employed by the parent or guardian of the
child receiving child care services, is enrolled by the department
to care for up to 4 children at 1 time, and does either of the
following:
(i) Provides care for the child in the child's home.
(ii) Provides care for the child in the caregiver's home and is
related to the child.
(b) "Related" means any of the following relationships by
blood, marriage, or adoption: grandparent, great-grandparent, aunt,
great-aunt, uncle, or great-uncle.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless all of the following bills of the 95th Legislature are
enacted into law:
(a) House Bill No. 5242.
(b) House Bill No. 5243.
(c) House Bill No. 5244.
