LICENSING FEES FOR HOMES FOR THE AGED

BRIEF SUMMARY: The bill would increase the annual fees assessed to homes for the aged for licensing from $6.27 per licensed bed to $13.14 per licensed bed.

FISCAL IMPACT: According to data from the Department of Human Services, there were 14,189 licensed beds in Homes for the Aged in February 2007.  The fee increase would raise annual licensing fee revenue by around $95,000 per year.
