     A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled

 

"Income tax act of 1967,"

 

(MCL 206.1 to 206.532) by adding section 527b.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 527b. For tax years that begin on and after January 1,

 

2007, the amounts in the table in section 527a(1)(a) shall be

 

adjusted each year as necessary by the department so that a

 

claimant with a household income less than 130% of the federal

 

poverty income standards as defined and determined annually by the

 

United States office of management and budget is not denied a

 

credit under section 527a.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5689(request no.
