FISCAL IMPACT
The cost to the State for additional toll-free lines would depend on the actual usage of the lines. According to the Department of Information Technology, most of the State's toll-free lines are charged at a rate of $0.25 per minute. There are currently 641 toll-free lines. That number includes lines that are used to connect to the State data network.
