A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled
"Michigan vehicle code,"
by amending section 626 (MCL 257.626).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 626. (1)
(a) Any A person who drives any a vehicle
2 upon a highway or a frozen public lake, stream, or pond or other
3 place open to the general
public, including, any but not
4 limited to, an area designated for the parking of motor vehicles,
5 within this state, in wilful willful or wanton disregard
for
6 the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.
7 (2) (b)
Every A person convicted of reckless driving
8 shall be punished who violates subsection (1) is guilty of a
9 misdemeanor punishable by
imprisonment in the county or
10 municipal jail for a period of not more than 90 days or by
a
11 fine of not more than $100.00
$500.00, or by both.
