A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4752 AS INTRODUCED 5-27-03
Part 301 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Agency, establishes permit fees ranging from $50 to $2,000 for permits to alter inland lakes and streams (e.g., operating marinas, performing construction work, using chemicals to control nuisances, etc.). The bill would limit these fees to no more than $100 for nonprofit entities.
[Note: The current version of the bill is based on language that is now outdated. Under the law existing at the time the bill was introduced, the fees were to be set at $25 beginning October 1, 2003. However, Public Act 163 of 2003 (enrolled Senate Bill 567) extended the current fee structure to October 1, 2008]
