ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 4360

AN ACT to make, supplement, and adjust appropriations for the department of consumer and industry services for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2002; to provide for the expenditure of the appropriations; and to prescribe certain conditions for the appropriations.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

PART 1

LINE-ITEM APPROPRIATIONS

Sec. 101. There is appropriated for the department of consumer and industry services for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2002, from the following funds:
Fire protection grants$7,421,000
GROSS APPROPRIATION$7,421,000

PART 2

PROVISIONS CONCERNING APPROPRIATIONS

GENERAL SECTIONS


Sec. 201. Pursuant to section 30 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963, total state spending under part 1 for fiscal year 2001-2002 is $7,421,000.00. State payments to local units of government under this act are $7,421,000.00.

Sec. 202. The appropriations made and the expenditures authorized under this act and the departments, agencies, commissions, boards, offices, and programs for which an appropriation is made under this act are subject to the management and budget act, 1984 PA 431, MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594.

DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AND INDUSTRY SERVICES


Sec. 301. The appropriation in part 1 for fire protection grants from the liquor purchase revolving fund shall be appropriated to cities, villages, and townships with state-owned facilities for fire services, instead of taxes, in accordance with 1977 PA 289, MCL 141.951 to 141.956.

 

This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
