A bill to amend 1991 PA 179, entitled "Michigan telecommunications act," (MCL 484.2101 to 484.2701) by adding section 314a. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 SEC. 314A. (1) A PROVIDER OF A REGULATED SERVICE SHALL NOT 2 DISCONTINUE REGULATED SERVICE TO THE RESIDENCE OF A CUSTOMER WHO 3 IS A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OR MILITARY RESERVIST ON ACTIVE 4 DUTY. 5 (2) THE COMMISSION SHALL ESTABLISH THE PROCEDURE BY WHICH A 6 CUSTOMER CAN NOTIFY HIS OR HER PROVIDER THAT HE OR SHE HAS BEEN 7 CALLED INTO ACTIVE DUTY. 8 (3) THE COMMISSION SHALL DETERMINE UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS A 9 PROVIDER OF A REGULATED SERVICE MAY DISCONTINUE SERVICE UNDER 10 THIS SECTION. 07697'02 Final page.
