Whitmer, Neumann, Frank, Mans, Kolb, Spade, Minore, Bogardus, Hardman and DeWeese and referred to the Committee on Health Policy.


        A bill to amend 1963 PA 125, entitled

   "An act to provide for the incorporation, supervision, and regu-
   lation of nonprofit dental care corporations; to prescribe the
   functions of the commissioner of insurance as to such corpora-
   tions; to provide for the imposition of a regulatory fee; and to
   prescribe penalties for violations of this act,"

   (MCL 550.351 to 550.373) by adding section 3a.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           SEC. 3A.  A NONPROFIT DENTAL CARE CORPORATION IS SUBJECT TO

 2
      AND SHALL COMPLY WITH THE HEALTH CARE INFORMATION PROTECTION AND

 3
      PRIVACY ACT.

           Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take

 5
      effect unless House Bill No. 4936 of the 91st Legislature is

 6
      enacted into law.
