CONTENT
The bill would amend Chapter 17 (Sentencing Guidelines) of the Code of Criminal Procedure to recodify sentencing guidelines designations in Section 12 of that chapter. Section 12, like several other sections in Chapter 17, lists a number of felony violations contained in Michigan law specifying their Michigan Compiled Law (MCL) citation, crime category, felony class, offense description, and statutory maximum sentence.
Section 12 includes sentencing guidelines designations for violations of MCL Chapters 200 to 299. Under the bill, those designations would be listed under proposed Sections 12a to 12n.
