WIRETAPPING: SENT. GUIDELINES - S.B. 806 (S-1): FLOOR ANALYSIS

CONTENT
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to include in the sentencing guidelines felony offenses proposed by Senate Bill 803, which would create the "Criminal Communications Intercept Act". The bill is tie-barred to Senate Bill 803.
All of the following would be Class F felonies against the public trust with statutory maximum penalties of four years' imprisonment:
-- Unauthorized interception, disclosure, or use of wire, oral, or electronic communication.
-- Unauthorized manufacture, possession, sale, delivery, or advertisement of a communication interception device.
-- Unauthorized disclosure of a communication interception.
