A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6250 AS INTRODUCED 8-13-02

House Bill 6250 would amend the Aeronautics Code to require that beginning May 22, 2002, the operator of a flight school request a criminal history check (through the Criminal Records Division of the Department of State Police), and a criminal records check (through the Federal Bureau of Investigation), on any applicant who was 18 years of age or older. Currently under the law the criminal history and criminal records checks are required for all applicants regardless of their age.
