A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5041 AS INTRODUCED 7-12-01

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to specify that forging a driver's license would be a Class F felony against the public order, with a five-year maximum sentence of imprisonment. The bill is tie-barred to House Bill 4037, which would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to make it a felony to intentionally forge a driver's license or to use a forged driver's license.
