        A bill to make supplemental appropriations for certain departments

   for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1997; to provide for the expen-

   diture of the appropriations; and to prescribe the powers and duties of

   certain principal executive departments and state agencies, officials,

   and employees.

                   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 101.  There is appropriated for the department of state,

 2    subject to the conditions set forth in this act, for the fiscal year

 3    ending September 30, 1997, the amounts from the funds identified as

 4    follows:
