Pursuant to Joint Rule 20, the full title of the bill shall read as follows:
"An act to protect the environment and natural resources of the state; to codify, revise, consolidate, and classify laws relating to the environment and natural resources of the state; to regulate the discharge of certain substances into the environment; to regulate the use of certain lands, waters, and other natural resources of the state; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state and local agencies and officials; to provide for certain charges, fees, and assessments; to provide certain appropriations; to prescribe penalties and provide remedies; to repeal certain parts of this act on a specific date; and to repeal certain acts and parts of acts,".

A bill to amend 1972 PA 348, entitled "An act to regulate relationships between landlords and tenants relative to rental agreements for rental units; to regulate the payment, repayment, use and investment of security deposits; to provide for commencement and termination inventories of rental units; to provide for termination arrangements relative to rental units; to provide for legal remedies; and to provide penalties," (MCL 534.601 to 554.616) by adding section 1b.

House Resolution No. 198.
A resolution to acknowledge the valiant effort of Mr. Duane E. Dewey during the Korean War.
Whereas, Mr. Dewey was the first person, in the Korean War, to receive the Medal of Honor from then President Eisenhower. Mr. Dewey earned the United States of America's highest award for heroism on April 16, 1952, when already wounded, he smothered an exploding enemy grenade with his own body to save the lives of his comrades; and
Whereas, Mr. Duane E. Dewey was born on the 16th of November in the year of our Lord 1931 and served in the Korean War as part of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division; and
Whereas, An enemy grenade landed close to his position while he and his assistant gunner were receiving medical attention for their wounds during a fierce night attack by hostile forces; and
Whereas, Corporal Dewey, although suffering intense pain, immediately pulled the corpsman to the ground and shouted a warning to other marines around him; and
Whereas, Corporal Dewey bravely smothered the deadly missile with his body, personally absorbing the full force of the explosion to save his comrades from possible injury or death; and
Whereas, Corporal Dewey's conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty reflects the highest credit upon Corporal Dewey as an American, as a soldier, and as a gentleman; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That tribute and respect be bestowed to Mr. Duane Edgar Dewey for his courage and valiant effort in the midst of fatal danger during the Korean War. May we honor Mr. Duane Edgar Dewey as a model soldier and citizen of the State of Michigan; and be it further
Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to Mr. Dewey as a token of our esteem.
