Committee Meeting
Meetings by bodies of elected members delegated by the House or Senate to consider and make recommendations concerning disposition of bills, resolutions, and other related matters referred to them. Committees are appointed by the Speaker of the House or the Senate Majority Leader and are organized according to subject matter.
SB 1151 (Sen. Wayne A. Schmidt) Highways: bridges; refusal to issue or transfer vehicle registration because of unpaid tolls; require for the secretary of state, and provide procedures for disputing tolls and for the exchanging of certain data with operators of toll bridges and tunnels.
SB 1165 (Sen. Tom Barrett) Vehicles: registration plates; certain veteran registration plates; allow issuance to spouse or surviving spouse.
SB 1183 (Sen. Mark Huizenga) Vehicles: registration plates; special registration plates for Purple Heart recipients and Pearl Harbor survivors; allow issuance to spouse or surviving spouse.
SB 1014 (Sen. Ed McBroom) Highways: bridges; tractors and farm equipment to cross the Mackinac Bridge; allow under certain conditions.
SB 1078 (Sen. Ed McBroom) Highways: bridges; tractors and farm equipment to cross the Mackinac Bridge; allow under certain conditions.
And any other business properly before the committee.
